Gainesville TDM Roles and Responsibilities

This area includes all the roles and responsibilities that have been identified for the Gainesville TDM project.

Service Packages

• ST06: HOV/HOT Lane Management (FDOT District 2 Express Lanes)
• TM09: Integrated Decision Support and Demand Management (FDOT District 2 Traffic Management Center (HOT / Express Lanes))
• TM10: Electronic Toll Collection (Express Lane Toll Collection)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate with FDOT District 2 RTMC to process dynamic tolls.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Control and coordinate highway traffic with lane control signals on FDOT highways.
• Coordinate traffic information with other FDOT District transportation management centers (TMCs).
• Operate and coordinate traffic control devices, traffic sensors, and CCTVs on FDOT freeways, including the ability to control traffic on overflow ramps.
• Operate express lanes on FDOT highways, including coordinating with FTE for dynamic tolling.
• Provide traffic information to travelers using DMS devices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic information with FDOT District 2.
• Coordinate with FDOT District 2 to operate express lanes on highways, including dynamic tolling.
• Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data using CCTVs and field sensors, and maintain operational control of its own field equipment.
• Provide traffic information to travelers using City of Gainesville DMS equipment.
