FDOT District 3 Districtwide Bridge Sensors Deployment and Integration
Project Description: This project will install sensors on bridges throughout District 3 to detect ice and fog. It also includes the integration of this data into operations.

1: The traffic center shall remotely control environmental sensors that measure road surface conditions including temperature, moisture, icing, salinity, and other measures.

2: The traffic center shall remotely control environmental sensors that measure weather conditions including temperature, wind, humidity, precipitation, and visibility.

3: The traffic center shall assimilate current and forecast road conditions and surface weather information using a combination of weather service provider information (such as the National Weather Service and value-added sector specific meteorological services), data from roadway maintenance operations, and environmental data collected from sensors deployed on and about the roadway.
