Emergency Management for Western Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 3
- Coordinate emergency response with county EOCs and local fire/EMS agencies.
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with the county sheriff, county EOC, FHP, local fire/EMS agencies, local police, and other public safety agencies.
- Coordinate with regional medical centers regarding the status of a care facility, as well as patient status en route to the medical center.
- Receive AMBER Alert and other wide area alert information from the county EOC.
- Dispatch county fire and EMS vehicles to incidents in the region.
- Receive early warning information and threat information from the county EOC.
- Receive emergency vehicle preemption from Bay County; the City of Tallahassee; county and local TMCs; and signals owned and operated by the FDOT District 3 RTMCs.
- Suggest routes to fire/EMS vehicles in response to emergencies and track EMS vehicles to incidents.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
Incident Management (Emergency) for Western Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 3
- Coordinate county fire/EMS/rescue resources for incident response with regional traffic agencies, including the FDOT, and county and city agencies.
- Coordinate incident response with other public safety agencies, including the sheriff, police, and FHP.
- Coordinate maintenance resources in response to incidents with county and city PWDs, and the FDOT District 3 maintenance section.
- Dispatch county fire/EMS vehicles to incidents in the jurisdiction.
- Perform incident detection and verification for all streets in the region, and provide this information to traffic agencies and other safety agencies.
