This area includes all the roles and responsibilities that have been identified for the South Florida ICM project.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Collect road weather information.
 
- Coordinate traffic information with other FDOT District transportation management centers (TMCs)
 
- Coordinate traffic management with agenices in St. Lucie County.
 
- Determine highway travel times.
 
- Monitor highway surveillance cameras.
 
- Monitor highway traffic sensors.
 
- Operate dynamically tolled express lanes
 
- Operate freeway traffic information devices, such as dynamic message sign (DMS) and highway advisory (HAR) equipment.
 
- Provide traffic information reports to other agencies.
 
- Share control of CCTV cameras images with City of Boca Raton TMC.
 
- Share traffic images with City of Boca Raton TMC.
 
- Share traffic information with agenices in St. Lucie County.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Collect traffic data from the traffic signal system sensors.
 
- Coordinate HRI signal adjustments.
 
- Coordinate traffic management with agenices in St. Lucie County.
 
- Interconnect with City of Port St. Lucie and City of Fort Pierce traffic signal systems.
 
- Operate traffic signal systems on county-owned arterials, as well as some municipal arterials.
 
- Provide signal preemption for emergency vehicles.
 
- Provide signal priority for transit vehicles.
 
- Share traffic information with agenices in St. Lucie County.
 
- Indian River County Public Works Department

- Coordinate highway-rail intersection (HRI) signal adjustments.
 
- Interconnect with City of Port St. Lucie and City of Fort Pierce traffic signal systems.
 
- Interconnect with traffic signal systems operated by the City of Boca Raton.
 
- Operate traffic signal systems on county-owned arterials, as well as some municipal arterials.
 
- Provide signal preemption for emergency vehicles
 
- Provide signal priority for transit vehicles.
 
- Remotely control school zone flashers in school zones.
