Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage work zones for all FDOT maintenance and construction activities, and monitor work zone safety using FDOT field devices and vehicles.
- Monitor highway surveillance cameras.
- Monitor highway traffic sensors.
- Operate freeway traffic information devices, such as dynamic message sign (DMS) and highway advisory radio (HAR) equipment.
- Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works
Roles and Responsibilities
- Miami-Dade will inform FDOT of work zone related incidents.
- Upon receipt of work zone information involving anticipated incidents Miami-Dade will activate timing plans and incident response plans to route traffic around the incidents.
- Travelers
Roles and Responsibilities
- Install and operate invehicle CAV equipment.
- Turn-on bluetooth services in vehicle.
- Local Agencies
Roles and Responsibilities
- Local Agencies will respond to incident information from the state to provide support to clear incidents in or around a work zone.
- City of Miami Beach
Roles and Responsibilities
- The city will inform the state of work zone related incidents.
- Upon receipt of work zone information involving anticipated incidents the City will activate timing plans and incident response plans to route traffic around the incidents.
- Maintenance and Construction Personnel
Roles and Responsibilities
- Turn-on bluetooth services in the personnel device.
