Emergency Management for West Central Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 7
- Coordinate emergency response with county EOCs, the FHP, and county sheriffs.
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with county fire/EMS agencies, county EOCs, the FHP, local fire/EMS/police agencies, and other public safety agencies.
- Receive AMBER Alerts and other wide area alert information from the county EOC/warning points.
- Receive early warning information and threat information from the county EOC/warning points.
- Coordinate with regional medical centers regarding the status of care facilities.
- Respond to transit emergencies/alarms on transit vehicles or at transit facilities.
- Dispatch county sheriff vehicles to incidents in the jurisdiction.
- Suggest routes to sheriff vehicles in response to emergencies and track sheriff vehicles to incidents.
- Support the coordination of regional emergency plans; evacuation and reentry plans; and disaster management plans.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Perform incident detection and verification for streets in the counties of the region.
Incident Management (Emergency) for West Central Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 7
- Provide incident information to traffic management and public safety agencies.
- Coordinate incident response with county and municipal public safety agencies; traffic management agencies, and the FDOT, as appropriate.
- Coordinate maintenance resources in response to incidents with county and local PWDs; FTE's operations center; and the FDOT District 7 maintenance system.
- Coordinate operations with traffic management agencies during scheduled events.
- Receive emergency calls from counties and municipalities in the jurisdiction of individual communication centers.
- Dispatch public safety vehicles to incidents in the county or city limits.
