Emergency Management for Southeast Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT Districts 4 and 6
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting of the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Perform incident detection and verification for streets in cities of the region.
- Receive early warning information and threat information from the county EOC/warning point.
- Coordinate emergency response with county EOCs, the FHP, and other law enforcement agencies
- Coordinate emergency response with the county EOCs, FHP, and other law enforcement agencies
- Receive wide area alert information from the county EOC/warning point.
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with other public safety agencies.
- Suggest routes to public safety vehicles in response to emergencies and track public safety vehicles to the incidents.
- Coordinate region wide emergency plans; evacuation and re-entry plans; and disaster management plans.
- Coordinate regional emergency plans; evacuation and re-entry plans, and disaster management plans.
- Coordinate with county and local traffic management to provide signal preemption for emergency vehicles.
- Coordinate with regional medical centers regarding the status of the care facility.
- Dispatch public safety vehicles to incidents in the region.
Incident Management (Emergency) for Southeast Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT Districts 4 and 6
- Receive emergency calls from counties and municipalities in the jurisdiction of individual communication centers.
- Coordinate incident response with county and municipal public safety agencies; traffic management agencies; and the FDOT, as appropriate.
- Provide incident information to traffic management and public safety agencies.
- Coordinate maintenance resources in response to incidents with county and local public works departments; the FTE operations center; and the FDOT District 4 maintenance section.
- Coordinate maintenance resources in response to incidents with county and local public works departments; the FTE operations center; and the FDOT District 6 maintenance section.
- Dispatch public safety vehicles to incidents in the city limits.
