US: GTFS-Flex - Secure Internet (ITS)

Description:

This solution is used within Canada and the U.S.. It combines standards associated with US: GTFS-Flex with those for I-I: Secure Internet (ITS). The US: GTFS-Flex standards include upper-layer standards required to implement dynamic, public, transit-related communications. The I-I: Secure Internet (ITS) standards include lower-layer standards that support secure communications between ITS equipment using X.509 or IEEE 1609.2 security certificates.

ITS Application Entity	GTFS-Flex	General Transit Feed Specification - Flex Extension	GTFS-Flex is a proposed extension to the General Transit Feed Specification. GTFS-Flex adds the capability to model various demand-responsive transportation (DRT) services to GTFS, which currently only models fixed-route public transportation. GTFS-flex is now produced for over 100 transit services, and provides flexible transit trip plans through OpenTripPlanner.
