City of St. Petersburg Traffic Control Center

Status: Planned

Description: This Traffic Control Center monitors and manages traffic flow. Incidents are detected and verified and incident information is provided to the appropriate emergency management agencies (St. Petersburg Fire/Rescue Dispatch, Police Dispatch, Pinellas County 911 Dispatch, etc), travelers, and to third party providers. The Traffic Control Center disseminates maintenance work schedules and road closure information provided by the City's PWD Systems. It also coordinates with CSX Rail Operations Centers to support safer and more efficient highway traffic management at highway–rail intersections.
