Description: The Florida Department of Transportation District 4, Southeast Florida, operates and maintains FDOT systems in Broward, Indian River, Martin, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie counties. FDOT District 4 and the Treasure Coast Traffic Engineering Division jointly operate and manage ITS elements and systems in FDOT District 4, Indian River County, Martin County, and St. Lucie County.

SunGuide ATMS Integration Roles and Responsibilities
- Controls and manages arterial management system and ITS traffic management devices, such as dynamic message signs, and CCTV cameras.
- Communicates with ITS Roadway Equipment and Connected Vehicle Roadside Equipment (RSE) to monitor and manage traffic flow and monitor the condition of the roadway, surrounding environmental conditions, and field equipment status.
- Manages freeway system.
- Manages traffic and transportation resources to support allied agencies in responding to, and recovering from, incidents ranging from minor traffic incidents through major disasters.
- Monitors and controls traffic and the road network.
