FDOT District 5 Smart Signals

Project Description: This project would modify existing signalized intersections and ATMS central software operating at the TMCs in the MetroPlan Orlando Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Area to bolster data collection, processing, and distribution capabilities to support the FDOT District 5 Regional Integrated Corridor Management System. Field devices and their associated ATMS' modification would make field devices capable of sending Hi–Resolution controller data and Turning Movement Count Data to the D5 RTMC.Signalized intersections on arterial state roadways in Orange County, Osceola County, and Seminole County, in addition to, the Orange County TMC, Orlando TMC, Osceola TMC, and Seminole County TMC are included in the project.
