Regional SmartCard Project Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all PCPT vehicles.
Transit Management for West Central Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 7
- Provide fixed-route bus and paratransit service for Pasco County.
- Coordinate emergency plans with county EOCs and provide emergency transit services for evacuations, fires, and disasters, including reentry services.
- Provide operator instructions and receive schedule performance data from PCPT vehicles while in service.
- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all PCPT vehicles.
- Provide transit schedule and fare information to FL511 and private sector traveler information systems.
- Provide transit security on all PCPT vehicles using silent alarms and on-board video surveillance (future).
- Coordinate transit schedules with other local transit agencies, particularly for transit connections at transit transfer points.
- Coordinate transit security incidents with local police and county sheriffs.
- Coordinate with the Pasco County Traffic Operations Center (TOC) for traffic signal priority.
- Track and evaluate schedule performance on all PCPT vehicles.
- Provide a demand-responsive bus transit plan to users and travelers using FL511, Transportation Disadvantaged (TD) service provider systems, and private sector traveler information system.
- Provide automated transit maintenance scheduling using automated vehicle conditions reporting on all PCPT vehicles (future).
