Manatee-Sarasota RTMC Control Room Expansion/Upgrade
Project Description: Provide upgrades to the control room infrastructure including video wall upgrade and expansion, installation of new workstations, installation of an 80" touch–enabled monitor to aid in decision making during incidents.

Manatee County Field Equipment - Roadway Basic Surveillance

1: The field element shall collect, process, digitize, and send traffic sensor data (speed, volume, and occupancy) to the center for further analysis and storage, under center control.

2: The field element shall collect, process, and send traffic images to the center for further analysis and distribution.

Manatee-Sarasota Regional Traffic Management Center - TMC Basic Surveillance

1: The center shall monitor, analyze, and store traffic sensor data (speed, volume, occupancy) collected from field elements under remote control of the center.

2: The center shall monitor, analyze, and distribute traffic images from CCTV systems under remote control of the center.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Manatee County Public Works Department
- Provide CCTV images to TMCs.
- Provide traffic detection information to TMCs.
- Manatee County Area Traffic Agencies
- Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with county and local traffic systems; the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT); and other southwest Florida TMCs.
- Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data through closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) and field sensors from Manatee and Sarasota counties, and the cities of Bradenton and Venice, and maintain operational control of all field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems in cooperation with the cities of Bradenton, Sarasota and the counties of Manatee and Sarasota.
