This area includes all the roles and responsibilities that have been identified for the Manatee-Sarasota RTMC Control Room Expansion/Upgrade project.

Service Packages

• TM01: Infrastructure-Based Traffic Surveillance (Manatee-Sarasota Regional Advanced Traffic Management System)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide CCTV images to TMCs.
• Provide traffic detection information to TMCs.



• Manatee County Area Traffic Agencies

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with county and local traffic systems; the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT); and other southwest Florida TMCs.
• Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data through closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) and field sensors from Manatee and Sarasota counties, and the cities of Bradenton and Venice, and maintain operational control of all field equipment.
• Operate traffic signal systems in cooperation with the cities of Bradenton, Sarasota and the counties of Manatee and Sarasota.
