Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with county and local traffic systems; the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT); and other southwest Florida TMCs.
Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data through closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) and field sensors from Manatee and Sarasota counties, and the cities of Bradenton and Venice, and maintain operational control of all field equipment.
Operate traffic signal systems in cooperation with the cities of Bradenton, Sarasota and the counties of Manatee and Sarasota.
Provide emergency signal preemption for county fire/EMS agencies.
