Roles and Responsibilities:

Transit Management for Southwest Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 1
• Provide fixed-route bus service for Polk County and the surrounding area.
• Coordinate emergency plans with county EOCs, and provide emergency transit services for evacuations, fires, and disasters, including re-entry services.
• Provide paratransit/fixed-route transit services to Polk County.
• Provide transit schedule and fare information to the Polk County traveler information system and private sector traveler ISPs.
• Provide transit security on all transit vehicles using silent alarms and surveillance systems.
• Track and evaluate schedule performance for county transit vehicles.
• Provide automated transit maintenance schedules using automated vehicle conditions reporting on all Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) fixed-route transit and paratransit vehicles.
