Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with the City of Jacksonville traffic engineering division.
- Coordinate traffic information with counties and cities in the District.
- Clay County Public Works Traffic Control Division
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency traffic signal control with the county EOC/Warning Point.
- Coordinate traffic information with adjoining counties or with cities within Clay County.
- Coordinate traffic information with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 2 and the City of Jacksonville traffic engineering division.
- Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data using closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) and field sensors from Clay County, and maintain operational control of all field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems on county-owned roads.
- Provide emergency signal preemption for county fire/emergency medical service (EMS) agencies.
- Provide interconnection between railroad equipment and traffic signal systems to update signal timing when highway-rail intersections (HRIs) are blocked by trains.
- City of Jacksonville Traffic Engineering Division
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency traffic signal control with the county EOC/Warning Point.
- Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with Clay and St. Johns counties.
- Coordinate traffic information and traffic control with FDOT District 2.
- Coordinate traffic information with military base operations.
- Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data using CCTVs and field sensors, and maintain operational control of its own field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems for the City of Jacksonville.
- Provide emergency signal preemption for the City of Jacksonville fire and rescue agencies.
- Provide interconnection between railroad equipment and traffic signal systems to update signal timing when HRIs are blocked by trains.
- Provide transit signal priority using roadside devices for Jacksonville transit vehicles.
- Gainesville Traffic Operations Division
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency traffic signal control with the county EOC/Warning Point.
- Coordinate traffic information with FDOT District 2.
- Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data using CCTVs and field sensors, and maintain operational control of its own field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems for the City of Gainesville and Alachua County.
- Provide emergency signal preemption for county fire/EMS.
- Provide interconnection between railroad equipment and traffic signal systems to update signal timing when HRIs are blocked by trains.
- Provide transit signal priority using roadside devices for Gainesville transportation service vehicles.
- Lake City
Roles and Responsibilities

- St. Johns County Traffic and Transportation Department
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency traffic signal control with the county EOC/Warning Point.
- Coordinate traffic information with counties adjoining St. Johns County and with cities in the county.

- City of Palatka
Roles and Responsibilities

- Operate traffic signal systems for the City of Palatka.
- Provide interconnection between railroad equipment and traffic signal systems to update signal timing when HRIs are blocked by trains.
- Putnam County
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency traffic signal control with the county EOC/Warning Point.
- Coordinate traffic information with counties adjoining Putnam County.
- Coordinate traffic information with FDOT District 2.
- Coordinate traffic information with the City of Palatka and other cities within Putnam County.
- Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data using CCTVs and field sensors, and maintain operational control of its own field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems for Putnam County.
- Provide emergency signal preemption for county fire/EMS agencies.
- County and City Traffic Engineering
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency traffic signal control with the county EOC/Warning Point.
- Coordinate traffic information with adjoining county traffic systems.
- Obtain traffic images and traffic flow data using CCTVs and field sensors, and maintain operational control of all field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems, including CCTVs, signals, and sensors, on county or local roadways.
- Provide emergency signal preemption for county fire/EMS and local fire/EMS.
- Provide interconnection between railroad equipment and traffic signal systems to update signal timing when HRIs are blocked by trains.
