Lee County-wide Emergency/Transit /Pre-Emption System
Project Description: Lee County–wide Emergency /Transit Pre–Emption System ties the ATMS network to the Emergency Management System (EMS) and LeeTran to improve emergency response and transit on–time reliability.

3: The emergency call-taking center shall receive emergency call information from vehicles and present the possible incident information to the emergency system operator.

LeeTran Fixed Route Transit Vehicles - Transit Vehicle Signal Priority

1: The transit vehicle shall determine the schedule deviation and estimated times of arrival (ETA) at transit stops.

3: The transit vehicle shall send the schedule deviation data and status of priority requests to the transit vehicle operator and provide the capability for the transit vehicle operator to control the priority system.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Lee County DOT
- Monitor traffic images and traffic flow data through CCTVs and field sensors, and maintain operational control of its own field equipment.
- Operate traffic signal systems for Lee County.
- Provide emergency signal preemption for county fire and county EMS agencies for signals at Fire/EMS stations
- Provide emergency signal preemption for local fire/EMS agencies.
