FDOT District 1 US-41 FRAME in Lee County Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment on all fixed-route transit vehicles, including the ability to obtain a fare payment card at agency-owned transit kiosks or other kiosks.
- Track and evaluate schedule performance on all LeeTran fixed-route and paratransit vehicles.
- Obtain traffic signal priority from the Lee County ATMS using Lee County roadside field equipment for LeeWay fixed-route transit vehicles.
- Perform automated passenger counting on fixed-route buses

- Obtain traffic signal priority from the Lee County ATMS using Lee County roadside field equipment for LeeWay fixed-route transit vehicles.
- Provide fixed-route bus service for Lee County and the surrounding area.
Transit Management for Southwest Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 1
- Provide paratransit/fixed-route transit services to Lee County.
- Coordinate emergency plans with county EOCs, and provide emergency transit services for evacuations, fires, and disasters, including re-entry services.
- Coordinate multimodal connections for fixed-route transit vehicles with other regional transit agencies, such as Collier County, and multimodal service providers.
- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment on all fixed-route transit vehicles, including the ability to obtain a fare payment card at agency-owned transit kiosks or other kiosks.
- Provide transit schedule and fare information to the LeeTran traveler information system, and private sector traveler ISPs.
- Provide transit security on all transit vehicles using silent alarms and surveillance systems.
- Provide transit traveler information to the agency Web site and local private sector traveler ISPs, posting it in transit stations and making it available on all transit vehicles.
- Track and evaluate schedule performance on all LeeTran fixed-route and paratransit vehicles.
- Obtain traffic signal priority from the Lee County ATMS using Lee County roadside field equipment for LeeWay fixed-route transit vehicles.
- Provide automated transit maintenance schedules using automated vehicle conditions reporting on all LeeTran fixed-route transit and paratransit vehicles.
- Provide fixed-route bus service for Lee County and the surrounding area.
