Project Description: Install permanent vehicle counters to provide data for planning and evaluation. Install travel time detectors to provide data to the Regional website. Installs equipment to allow the City to better manage traffic.

Project Functional Requirements (Element - Functional Object):

• 1: The center shall monitor, analyze, and store traffic sensor data (speed, volume, occupancy) collected from field elements under remote control of the center.

• 3: The traffic management center shall receive and respond to requests from ITS Archives for either a catalog of the traffic data or for the data itself.

• 2: The center shall correlate the time stamped vehicle identities in order to calculate link travel times and derive other traffic measures.

• 1: The field element shall collect, process, digitize, and send traffic sensor data (speed, volume, and occupancy) to the center for further analysis and storage, under center control.

• 1: The field element shall collect, process, and send data to the center to uniquely identify passing vehicles in order to support travel time measurement
