Stakeholders

• FDOT District 1

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collect environmental information from its own field equipment, and from public and private weather service providers.
• Coordinate maintenance and construction activities, and information with other regional maintenance operations, regional ISPs, regional traffic operations, emergency operations, rail operations, and the media.
• Coordinate maintenance resources for incidents with county and city DPWs, and other FDOT District maintenance and construction operations.
• Coordinate with city and county maintenance and construction systems, as well as the FDOT asset management contractor, a private company, for maintenance on I-75. (The FDOT I-75 TMCs operate in this capacity.)
• Distribute environmental data to private weather providers, RTMCs, regional emergency management agencies, all regional transit agencies, and county and city maintenance offices.
• Manage work zones for all FDOT maintenance and construction activities, as well as monitor work zone safety using FDOT field devices and vehicles.
• Perform maintenance on the FDOT ITS field equipment.
• Provide regional state highway maintenance data, including pavement maintenance and construction activities. Provide maintenance and construction activity alerts to the traveling public using portable DMS equipment.
• Receive a request for maintenance resources for incident response from county fire/EMS, county sheriff, local police, local fire/EMS, and the FHP.
• Receive a request for maintenance resources for incident response from the FDOT I-75 TMCs.
• Receive automatic vehicle location (AVL) information from FDOT District 1 maintenance and construction vehicles. The vehicles provide automated maintenance status information to the FDOT District 1 operations center and maintenance yard (repair facility).
• The FDOT Public Information Office (PIO) distributes work zone information to local transit agencies and local emergency management agencies.



• Lee County DOT

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collect environmental information from its own field equipment, and from public and private weather service providers.
• Distribute this environmental data and road weather information to LeeTran paratransit and transit operations; LeeWay toll system administration; and to regional emergency management agencies.



• FDOT District 7

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collect environmental information from District 1 field equipment.
• Distribute environmental data to FDOT District 1 and FDOT District 5.



• County and City Traffic Engineering

Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and construction activities and information with other regional maintenance operations, regional ISPs, regional traffic operations, rail operations, multimodal service providers, and the media.
• Coordinate maintenance resources for incidents with FDOT maintenance and construction operations, and other counties and cities outside the District.
• Coordinate RTMC maintenance or construction requests.
• Distribute maintenance and construction information to RTMCs.
• Manage work zones for all county and city maintenance and construction activity, as well as monitor work zone safety with county and city field equipment and vehicles.
• Perform maintenance for city- and county-owned ITS field equipment in the region.
• Provide the regional local and city maintenance data, including pavement maintenance and construction activities. Provide maintenance and construction activity alerts to the traveling public using portable DMS equipment.
• Receive a request for maintenance resources for incident response from county fire/EMS/sheriff, local police/fire/EMS, and the FHP.
• Receive a request for maintenance resources for incident response from the FDOT I-75 TMCs, and the county and city TMSs.
• Receive AVL information from county and city public works vehicles. Vehicles provide automated maintenance status information to the county and city roadway maintenance and construction system (repair facility).
• Receive road weather conditions from the FDOT District 1 TMCs and distribute this road network information to RTMCs.



• FDOT District 5

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collect environmental information from District 1 field equipment.
• Distribute environmental data to FDOT District 1 and FDOT District 7.



• City of Fort Myers

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collect environmental information from private weather service providers.
