- Florida Highway Patrol
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response with the county EOCs, local police, and county sheriff.
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with the county sheriff/fire/EMS/EOC, local police/fire/EMS, and other public safety agencies.
- Coordinate region wide emergency plans; evacuation and re-entry plans; and disaster management plans.
- Dispatch FHP vehicles to incidents within the jurisdiction.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Perform incident detection and verification for the highways within the cities in the region.
- Provide incident information to the FDOT District 2 traffic, maintenance, and construction agencies, as well as regional ISPs.
- Receive Amber Alert, Silver Alert, LEO Alert and other wide area alert information from the county EOC/warning point.
- Receive early warning information and threat information from the county EOC/warning point.
- County Emergency Management Agencies
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency plans and maintenance resources with local maintenance and construction agencies.
- Coordinate emergency plans, emergency transit schedules, and the status of emergency transit systems with local transit agencies.
- Coordinate incident and threat information as part of an early warning system with RTMCs and regional emergency management agencies; regional maintenance and construction agencies; regional transit agencies; and regional ISPs.
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with the county sheriff/fire/EMS/EOC, local police/fire/EMS, the FHP, and other public safety agencies.
- Coordinate wide area alert notifications with regional traffic management agencies; regional emergency management agencies; regional maintenance and construction agencies; and regional transit agencies.
- Develop and coordinate county/region wide emergency plans; evacuation and re-entry plans; and disaster management plans with regional emergency management agencies; traffic management agencies; transit management agencies; and maintenance and construction
- Operate the county EOC/warning points, including incident coordination with regional emergency management providers.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Provide evacuation and incident information to regional ISPs and the media for regional travelers.
- Regional Public Safety Agencies
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with the county sheriff/fire/EMS/EOC and local police/fire/EMS; the FHP; and other public safety agencies.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Receive emergency calls for incidents within the 911 center’s jurisdictions. Coordinate incident response the local public safety agencies, such as local police/fire/EMS/sheriff offices and the FHP.
- FDOT District 2
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate incident response and reporting with the county sheriff/fire/EMS/EOC, local police/fire/EMS, the FHP, and other public safety agencies.
- Develop and coordinate regional emergency plans; evacuation and re-entry plans; and disaster management plans with FDOT District 2 (and other Districts).
- Dispatch FDOT District 2 Road Ranger Service Patro Vehicles.
- Monitor secure area sensors and report alert notifications to the FDOT maintenance yards, and regional emergency management agencies.
- Participate in incident response, coordination, and reporting for the regional incident and mutual aid network.
- Receive AMBER Alerts. Silver Alerts, and LEO Alerts from the FDLE.
- City of Jacksonville Fire and Rescue
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response with county Fire/EMS, other local Fire/EMS and County EOCs.
- Coordinate incident response and incident reports with other county sheriffs, county EOCs, the FHP, and other local fire/EMS/police agencies.
- Coordinate with regional medical centers regarding the status of care facilities and patients en route to medical centers.
- Receive AMBER Alerts, Silver Alerts, LEO Alerts and other wide area information from the FDLE
- Receive early warning and threat information from county EOCs.
- Receive emergency vehicle preemption from signals in the City of Jacksonville.
- Suggest routes to Fire/EMSvehicles in response to emergencies and track vehicles to incidents.
- City of Jacksonville Sheriffs Office
Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency response with the county EOC, the FHP, other county sheriffs, and other local police.
- Coordinate regional emergency plans, evacuation and reentry plans, and disaster management plans.
- Receive AMBER Alerts, Silver Alerts, LEO Alerts and other wide area information from the FDLE.
- Receive early warning information and threat infromation from the county EOC.
- Respond to transit emergencies/alarms on JTA vehicles or at JTA transit facilities.
- Suggest routes to sheriff vehicles in response to emergencies and track sheriff vehicles to incidents.
- Florida Department of Law Enforcement
Roles and Responsibilities
- Originate Amber Alerts within the state of Florida. Coordinate Amber Alert information, Silver Alert Information, LEO Alert Information, and alert status to regional emergency management (i.e., police and sheriff) agencies. Provide Amber Alert information
