Roles and Responsibilities:

FDOT District 7 I-4 FRAME Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide transit information to travelers using private companies, the Florida 511 system, and the media.

HART BRT Expansion Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
• Coordinate with the Hillsborough County for traffic signal priority.

HART CAD/AVL Update Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide operator instructions and receive schedule performance data from HART vehicles while in service.
• Coordinate transit security incidents with local police and county sheriffs.
• Track and evaluate schedule performance data for all HART vehicles.
• Provide transit security on all HART vehicles using silent alarms and on-board video surveillance.

HART DMS Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide transit traveler information via station and stop equipment

HART Downtown Tampa Autonomous Transit Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
• Provide autonomous transit shuttle in mixed traffic using autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.

HART FareBox Upgrade Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all HART vehicles.

HART GIS Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide HART transit system GIS based map data that can be used to support intelligent transportation systems.

HART OneBusAway Update Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide transit schedule,fare, and real-time bus arrival information to travelers on smartphones and other mobile devices.

Hillsborough County C2C Communications Roles and Responsibilities
• Receive traffic incidents, road network conditions, and traffic images from Hillsborough County TMC.
• Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
• Coordinate with the Hillsborough County for traffic signal priority.

Hillsborough County Connected Vehicle (CV) Initiative with HART, and Fire and Rescue Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide fixed-route bus, paratransit, and streetcar services for Hillsborough County.
• Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
• Track and evaluate schedule performance data for all HART vehicles.
• Coordinate with the Hillsborough County for traffic signal priority.

Hillsborough County MPO Data and Analytics Platform Roles and Responsibilities
• Collect and archieve transit data.
• Coordinate with Hillsborough MPO for archiving HART transit data.

PSTA Intermodal Centers Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinate transit schedules with other local transit agencies, particularly for transit connections at transit transfer points.

Regional SmartCard Project Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all HART vehicles.

Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) Connected Vehicle (CV) Pilot Roles and Responsibilities
• Provide operator instructions and receive schedule performance data from HART vehicles while in service.
• Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
• Track and evaluate schedule performance data for all HART vehicles.
• Coordinate with the Hillsborough County for traffic signal priority.

Transit Management for West Central Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 7
• Provide fixed-route bus, paratransit, and streetcar services for Hillsborough County.
• Coordinate emergency plans with county EOCs, and provide emergency transit services for evacuations, fires, and disasters, including reentry services.
• Provide operator instructions and receive schedule performance data from HART vehicles while in service.
• Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all HART vehicles.
• Provide transit schedule and fare information to FL511 and private sector traveler information systems.
• Provide transit security on all HART vehicles using silent alarms and on-board video surveillance (future).
• Provide transit traveler information to FL511, HART traveler information systems, and private sector traveler information systems, and make it available on all HART vehicles.
• Coordinate transit schedules with other local transit agencies, particularly for transit connections at transit transfer points.
• Coordinate transit security incidents with local police and county sheriffs.
• Coordinate with multimodal transportation agencies, including airports and heavy rail system.
• Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
• Track and evaluate schedule performance data for all HART vehicles.
• Provide a demand-responsive bus transit plan to users and travelers using the HART traveler information system.
• Provide automated transit maintenance scheduling for all HART vehicles using automated vehicle conditions reporting (future).
