- Provide transit information to travelers using private companies, the Florida 511 system, and the media.
HART BRT Expansion Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
- Coordinate with the Hillsborough County for traffic signal priority.
HART CAD/AVL Update Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide operator instructions and receive schedule performance data from HART vehicles while in service.
- Coordinate transit security incidents with local police and county sheriffs.
- Track and evaluate schedule performance data for all HART vehicles.
- Provide transit security on all HART vehicles using silent alarms and on-board video surveillance.
HART DMS Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide transit traveler information via station and stop equipment
HART Downtown Tampa Autonomous Transit Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
- Provide autonomous transit shuttle in mixed traffic using autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.

- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all HART vehicles.

- Provide HART transit system GIS based map data that can be used to support intelligent transportation systems.
HART OneBusAway Update Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide transit schedule,fare, and real-time bus arrival information to travelers on smartphones and other mobile devices.
Hillsborough County C2C Communications Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive traffic incidents, road network conditions, and traffic images from Hillsborough County TMC.
- Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.

Regional SmartCard Project Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all HART vehicles.
Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority (THEA) Connected Vehicle (CV) Pilot Roles and Responsibilities

- Coordinate emergency plans with county EOCs, and provide emergency transit services for evacuations, fires, and disasters, including reentry services.
- Provide operator instructions and receive schedule performance data from HART vehicles while in service.
- Provide transit passenger electronic fare payment capabilities on all HART vehicles.
- Provide transit schedule and fare information to FL511 and private sector traveler information systems.
- Provide transit security on all HART vehicles using silent alarms and on-board video surveillance (future).
- Provide transit traveler information to FL511, HART traveler information systems, and private sector traveler information systems, and make it available on all HART vehicles.
- Coordinate transit schedules with other local transit agencies, particularly for transit connections at transit transfer points.
- Coordinate transit security incidents with local police and county sheriffs.
- Coordinate with multimodal transportation agencies, including airports and heavy rail system.
- Coordinate with the City of Tampa for traffic signal priority.
- Track and evaluate schedule performance data for all HART vehicles.
- Provide a demand-responsive bus transit plan to users and travelers using the HART traveler information system.
- Provide automated transit maintenance scheduling for all HART vehicles using automated vehicle conditions reporting (future).
