Commercial Vehicle Operations for Southwest Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 1
- Coordinate HAZMAT spill incident response with county fire/EMS agencies and/or local fire/EMS agencies.
- Receive HAZMAT spill notifications from private commercial fleets.
Emergency Management for Southwest Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 1
- Coordinate emergency response with the county EOCs, local police, and the county sheriff's office.
- Provide the dispatch of and suggested route information for the FDOT District 1 Road Rangers Service Patrols operated by the FHP. Provide incident information to the FDOT; county maintenance and construction agencies; and the FDOT RTMCs.
- Coordinate region wide emergency plans; evacuation and reentry plans; and disaster management plans.
- Receive Amber Alert and other wide area alert information from the county EOC/warning point.
- Receive early warning information and threat information from the county EOC/warning point.
- Dispatch FHP vehicles to incidents within jurisdiction
- Participates in the incident response, coordination, and reporting of the regional incident and mutual aid network.
Incident Management (Emergency) for Southwest Florida Regional ITS Architecture - FDOT District 1
- Coordinate incident response with other public safety agencies, such as the police, fire, EMS, and sheriff's offices.
- Coordinate maintenance resources for incident response with county and city DPWs, and the FDOT Maintenance Office.
- Coordinate public safety (FHP) resources for incident response with regional traffic agencies, such as the FDOT, and county and city agencies.
- Dispatch FHP vehicles to incidents within jurisdiction.
- Perform incident detection and verification for all streets in the region, and provide this information to traffic and other safety agencies.
